NEW TESTAMENT INTRODUCTION I
New Testament I is a core class required for all Masters and Boston Advance students. The course introduces you to the literature of the New Testament, including the content, background, and criticism of the Gospels. It also provides an introduction to Biblical hermeneutics.

Dr. Stephen T. Um
Dr. Um (PhD, the University of St. Andrews) has taught New Testament studies for over 30 years at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Covenant Theological Seminary, Emerson College, the University of St. Andrews, and many other theological training centers around the world. He is an adjunct professor of New Testament for Gateway Seminary and teaches at the Boston site through the Boston School of Ministry (BSM). He has a passion for helping students to see the person of Jesus Christ as the final resolution, fulfillment, and completion of all that has been promised in the Old Testament. He presently trains, coaches and mentors church planters and pastors through a church planting network (SEND Boston/For Greater Boston) while serving as an executive director at Christ Church Charlestown and Theologian in Residence at Restoration Road Church in Wakefield. He is the author of many books including a commentary on 1 Corinthians and several books on theology and pastoral ministry. He lives in Boston with his wife Kathleen, and they have 3 daughters, two sons in law and one grandson.
